General Education Center
The Center for General Education supports Yamanashi Gakuin University’s dedication to cultivating resilience in our students, by helping them build a strong foundation for learning. The knowledge and skills acquired through our curriculum not only support their studies in each faculty, but also serve as a foundation for thriving in society after graduation and pursuing their own paths amid ongoing change.
In an age marked by rapid change and increasing uncertainty, it is not enough simply to have knowledge. What is needed is the ability to ask questions, think critically, make sound judgments, collaborate with others, and continuously evolve. To this end, the Center offers five distinct subject groups: ICT Skills, Language Skills, Human Skills, Career Development Support, and the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. Through this wide-ranging approach to learning, we prepare students to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and strength.
Learning does not always go smoothly. Doubt and setback are also valuable opportunities to understand yourself and grow. The Center for General Education will walk alongside each student so that they can recognize their own challenges and potential, and confidently take the next step forward.
