Overview

Office365 ProPlus was changed to Microsoft 365 Apps from April 21, 2020.

"Microsoft 365 Apps" is an integrated application suite containing Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office software.Our university has a comprehensive licensing agreement of Office with Microsoft Corporation, and you can install and use the latest Microsoft Office free of charge at your computer, tablet, smartphone while enrolled at Yamanashi Gakuin University.

In addition at our university, "OfficeOnline" usable on the cloud service without installing Excel, Word,Powerpoint etc, and "Onedrive for Bussiness" of the storage service usable.


【Notes】
・When a new version is announced, it will be upgraded automatically to the latest Office after a few monthsfr om the initial release at the latest.

・You can use the service free of charge in personal owned devices, up to 5 licences for each device type.

・Device types are PC(Windows・MacOS), Tablet(iPad・Android), Smartphone(iPhone・Android)

・When using the service, sign-in to Office365 and click the 　 icon on the upper left-side to select the application you wish to use.

・For security reasons, administrative staff cannot use OfficeOnline and OneDrive.
Authorized users

・Degree-seeking students, faculty members and staff members enrolled at Yamanashi Gakuin University. (Including graduate students)

・Students, faculty members and staff members enrolled at Yamanashi Gakuin Junior College.

・Special Register Students, Auditor students, Special research students, exchange students, visiting researchers, etc. are excluded.

・Only a target person is effective.
Loss of usage privileges

In the following cases, the usage privileges will be lost.

・Due to loss of status as a student, faculty or staff of our university due to graduation, removal, dropout, etc.

・If the University cancels the Office license comprehensive agreement with Microsoft.

・When the University, Junior College and the Information Technology Center seek to suspend usage due to other reasons, such as license agreement violation.


* This license will be revoked within 30 days after loss of usage privileges.

* After the expiration, Office will continue functioning in a limited mode, without possibility to create or edit documents.
Installation

・Read the installation instructions and sign in to Office 365 before installing.

・Connection to the Internet is necessary for installation.

・Make sure you have enough time to complete the installation in one go. In addition, do not interrupt the installation.


* In general, it takes from several minutes to 10 minutes to download the software, and it takes about 10 to20 minutes to complete the installation. (It may take time depending on the internet connection and other factors)

* The PC versions of individual applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) cannot be installed. Only the entire suite with all its applications can be installed.

* Please execute the installation at your own risk.

* Compatible operating systems are Windows7, 8 and 8.1, Mac OS X, iOS and Android. (The latest version is recommended for all platforms except for Windows)

Licence certification

After installation, the license is authenticated periodically and automatically through the Internet.


* In order to keep the suite active, connect your device to the Internet at least once a month.
Deactivation

Deactivation is an operation to disable the license of the device on which Microsoft 365 Apps was installed, so that the license can be used on other devices. It is mainly done when Office365 is no longer needed on a particular device.


* The device of deactivated Microsoft 365 Apps will retain functionality in limited mode without possibility to create or edit documents.

Save destinations of the Microsoft 365 Apps files

You can use Microsoft's online storage service "OneDrive". If you want to save files to own device memory, select "This PC" or "Browse" and save.


【Note】 In case of MacOS, please be aware that files are saved in OneDrive instead of the area on your personal computer by default.
