On November 20, the “Africa Festival” was held at Yamanashi Gakuin Memorial Hall, where you can experience the culture, economy, sports and music of Africa.
The event was held as part of the Kofu City Hometown Support Donation Program and was streamed simultaneously online.

Announcement of the Africa Festival
Supported by the Kofu City Hometown Tax Donation Program, the International Exchange Center (IEC) will be holding the Africa Festival on Friday, 20th November 2020 to promote international exchange activities. The festival will feature a lecture by the Kenyan Embassy Counsellor on the appeal of Kenya, a talk show by Mr. Seihito Ueda, Director of the University of Kenya’s Athletics Department, and Mr. Stephen Mayaka, an alumnus of the University of Kenya’s Athletics Department, as well as a concert of African music, and a product exhibition of Kenyan and South African, we welcome you to enjoy the charms of Africa through our event.
This Africa Festival is not only open to our students and staff, but also to the citizens of Kofu. We are looking forward to seeing you at the festival.
