On December 12, the Yamanashi Gakuin University International Center held a lecture by H.E. Leon Malazog, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Japan, for the purpose of understanding international relations and fostering a broad perspective. About 50 people attended the lecture, including students and faculty members. Under the title of “The Republic of Kosovo: Young Eyes in Europe,” Ambassador Malazog gave a lecture on the current situation in Kosovo, looking back on the history of Kosovo from the time of conflict to independence, and explained the historical background and domestic situation in the country, among other things, in light of the ethnic groups and language culture of ancient Europe. After the lecture, the Ambassadors paid a courtesy call to the President’s office and met with President Koji Furuya. Ambassador Malazog and President Furuya exchanged views on Kosovo’s economy, language, sports, and higher education environment. For more information, please see the Yamanashi Gakuin News File.
