2nd to 4th year students who participate in an internship with 80 or more working hours may earn credit after The University offers a wide range of career support services, including individual consultations, seminars, events, public servant and qualification exam preparations, and internships. (1) Individual consultations Individual consultations are available for students of all year levels. 1st to 3rd year students can discuss self-understanding, the job-hunting schedule, studies and qualifications necessary to obtain a job offer, and internships; 4th year students can discuss their job-hunting progress. Students are notified by email or on UNIPA about how to make an appointment. (2) Seminars, events, and exam preparation Students can benefit from a wide range of career support services offered by the University, including individual consultations, seminars, events, public servant and qualification exam preparations. Additionally, iCLA international students are strongly encouraged to participate in a ‘Working in Japan’ seminar starting in their first year, which helps deepen their understanding of the Japanese job market and prepare for job hunting step by step. Students are notified by email or on UNIPA about event details such as how to participate. (3) Internships ① Overview Internships are opportunities for students to gain practical experience at a company or organization prior to employment. “University-dispatched internships" are designated internships where students apply through the University for companies and organizations with slots set aside for YGU students. Students can also apply for "open internships" on their own through company websites and employment information sites. In principle, students can participate in internships during the period between the end of final exams and the start of orientation for the following semester (August, and January through March). ② Earning credit completing required procedures; however, only 1 credit may be earned throughout a student’s enrollment. ③ Important notes International students are required to obtain a Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted from the Immigration Bureau 41 1.
