   ② How GPA is used  If a student retakes a failed course, the failing grade before the retake will not be counted toward the total number of registered credits, and only the final grade will be counted. For example, if a student retakes a course with an “F” grade and receives an “A”, only the final grade of “A” will be included in the GPA calculation. Courses evaluated as “P”, “NP” (‘English for Academic Excellence A’, ‘English for Academic Excellence B’, ‘Graduation Research Project’ and ‘Internship’), “R” (transfer credit courses), and “W” (cancelled courses) are not included.
