(9) Change of Student Status A change in a student's enrollment status is called a Change of Student Status. ① Leave of Absence When a student is unable to study for 3 or more months, they can take a Leave of Absence with permission from the President. The duration of a Leave of Absence is 1 or 2 semesters, and can be extended for up to an additional 2 semesters under special circumstances. Students are not allowed to take a Leave of Absence for more than 8 semesters in total. Since the period of a Leave of Absence does not count toward the Period of Study, graduation is automatically postponed by the number of semesters of a Leave of Absence. During a Leave of Absence, the student's year level and semester will remain the same. However, a Leave of Absence counts towards a student’s Maximum Enrollment Period. ② Reinstatement from Leave of Absence Reinstatement is when a student returns to the University after a Leave of Absence with permission from the President. Students take courses based on the curriculum and system of the academic year in which they return to the University. 9
