Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)
The JLPT is a test to measure and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers of Japanese. It is held twice a year in July and December by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. Yamanashi Gakuin University offers group applications. BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test
This is a test to evaluate the communication skills of Japanese language in the business world. Sponsored by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Institute, it is held twice a year in June and November. Along with the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, it serves as a certificate of Japanese language proficiency for employment. Yamanashi Gakuin University offers group application. Applications are posted on the bulletin board and the website, so please check the application information.

Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest
The Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest was started in 2004. The contest was started to provide foreign students studying at universities in Yamanashi Prefecture with an opportunity to present the results of their studies. The contest is held every December. It’s a great way to test your Japanese language skills, so why not give it a try? The date and theme of the contest will be announced on the bulletin board in October.
